Referendum on the Lisbon Treaty
On 10 October 2009, the Northside Civic Centre hosted a new debate ahead of the second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. Cllr. Andrew Montegue (Labour), Gay Mitchell MEP (FG), Niamh Gallagher (Women for Europe) and Cllr. Julia Carmichael (FF) spoke is support of the Treaty. Asking for a ‘No’ vote were Roger Cole (Peace and Neutrality Alliance), Patricia McKenna (People’s Movement) and Mark Walsh (Campaign against an European Constitution).
